The Leadership Coach People-Pleasing Directors Eventually Find

Directors hire me to become strategic executives who advance to VP without the burnout and the guilt.

RECENT CLIENTS:

Director (Tech): VP promotion in 6 months. €75K total comp increase. Stopped working weekends. Team now autonomous.

Director (Consumer Goods): Said no to 3 major projects. Reputation increased — not damaged.

VP (Finance): Turned down London secondment. No guilt. Negotiated remote work instead. Family intact.

Director (Consulting): Left Big 4 for a boutique. €180K package up from €140K. Set boundaries in negotiation.

THE PATTERN:

You got promoted BY people-pleasing.
Now that same pattern is your ceiling.
Can’t say no without guilt.
Can’t delegate without anxiety.
Boundaries feel like career risk.
Your leadership toolkit = ONE tool: work harder.
That worked to get you to Director.
It won’t get you to VP.

WHAT ACTUALLY SHIFTS:

Not surface tactics (‘5 tips for saying no’). Instead, depth work combining corporate strategy, self & stakeholder psychology, emotional intelligence, and body practice.

— Where this pattern originated, usually childhood: the ‘helpful child’

— Why insight alone doesn’t change it. The pattern lives in your body, not just your mind.

— How to navigate corporate politics without losing yourself. Strategic yes, clean no, authentic choice rather than guilt or resentment.

— What VP-level leadership actually requires. Strategic presence and influence, not just harder work.

THE TRANSFORMATION:

FROM: Calendar hijacked · Guilty about boundaries · Exhausted but invisible
TO: Strategic presence · Clean decisions · VP-level respect and compensation

WHY LISTEN TO ME:

I’ve been in those rooms. I know what it cost. 14 years investment banking across 4 countries. Promoted by saying yes to everything. Burned out at director level when that pattern hit its ceiling. Now with 3,000+ sessions with senior leaders, I’ve seen this pattern destroy careers, marriages, health. Until it is transformed when addressed at the root, not the surface.

The LSE. ICF PCC certified. MBA in International Management.

MY MISSION

As famous Simon Sinek advices, a deeper sense of meaning emerges once we find out Why. His Ted Talk can be found in this link, and my own Why is reflected here. Most of the Directors I work with are not struggling because they lack capability. Rather, they are struggling because the people-pleasing pattern that built their career has become the thing quietly dismantling it.

They are exceptional at their work. Yet they are also exhausted by it. And somewhere underneath the performance, they know that working harder is no longer the answer, although they do not yet know what is.

My work is to help people-pleasing Directors find that answer. Not through surface tactics or tips for saying no. Instead, it is through the deeper work that addresses the pattern at the root, where it actually lives. That place is not in your diary or your inbox but in your nervous system, your beliefs, and the identity you built around being the person who never lets anyone down.

What becomes possible on the other side is not a harder or less caring version of you. Instead, it is a version of you that leads from clarity rather than guilt. As a result, you advance to VP not by doing more but by finally doing things differently. And you discover, perhaps for the first time, what it feels like to be as good to yourself as you have always been to everyone else.
